Prague Castle

Prague Castle, the majestic fortress and seat of the Czech kings, rises on a high hill above the city. St. Vitus Cathedral, the imposing Castle Square and Golden Lane form the unmistakable silhouette of this historic complex. Visitors can wander the grounds of the Old Royal Palace, admire the art in the Lobkowicz Palace and feel the tranquillity of the Royal Gardens.

Strahov Monastery and Library

In close proximity to our guesthouse in Břevnov is the impressive Strahov Monastery, open to the public. You will love a stroll through the monastery gardens and a visit to the famous Strahov Library, which houses a unique collection of historical books and manuscripts. Immediately outside the monastery walls is a beautiful panoramic viewpoint where you can see the historic centre of Prague like in the palm of your hand.

Charles bridge

Charles Bridge, an icon of Prague architecture, connects the Old Town with the Lesser Town and offers an unforgettable view of the Vltava River. Surrounded by statues of saints and historical charm, the bridge exudes romance and the atmosphere of rich Czech history. A walk on the Stone Bridge, built in the 14th century, is an unforgettable experience. From our guesthouse, you can reach Charles Bridge by a pleasant walk through the beautiful historical surroundings. You will pass Strahov Monastery or Prague Castle, then Nerudova Street, past St. Nicholas Church and then Mostecká Street. The walk to Charles Bridge over Hradčany is an experience in itself.

Muzeum and Kampa Island

This picturesque island settlement on the Vltava River is an ideal place to relax and stroll. Here you will find picturesque streets, cafes and restaurants, a large park and several works of art, including sculptures by sculptor David Černý. The Kampa Museum, specialising in modern and contemporary art, is located here. The island of Kampa can be reached by walking along the picturesque Nerudova Street, past the Church of St. Nicholas and Mostecká Street, leading to the Charles Bridge or just to Kampa. Alternatively, you can go down to Kampa directly from the Charles Bridge.

The walk from our apartments takes about 30 minutes.

Petřín Lookout and Gardens

From the gardens of the Strahov Monastery you can walk directly to the Petřín Gardens, where you will find the mirror maze, the Štefánik Observatory and the iconic Petřín Lookout Tower. It offers an unforgettable view of the Prague skyline. The romance, the views and the unique atmosphere are what make this location unforgettable. You will also find a unique cable car here.

Ladronka Park

If you are in the mood for a stay in urban nature, be sure to visit Ladronka Park. Relax in the greenery, play sports or simply enjoy a picnic in the open air. This natural retreat is an ideal place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and offers a wide range of activities for all visitors. It is a great place for families with children.

Břevnov Monastery

History that breathes peace and harmony – that is the Břevnov Monastery. Wander its picturesque paths, visit its orchard and adjacent park with ponds, admire the architecture and immerse yourself in the tranquillity it provides. There is also a historic brewery on its grounds, the first documented brewery in the country. Local beer can be enjoyed right in the beautiful surroundings of the Benedictine Břevnov Monastery.

Game reserves Hvězda

Turn off the tourist trails and discover a natural gem – the Hvězda Game Reserve. This magnificent area, with the historic Hvězda Summer Palace in the middle of it, is full of forests, trails and lakes and offers a peaceful escape into nature. Walks around Hvězda are not only relaxing but also inspiring with their unique atmosphere.

Zoo Praha

If you’re looking for an activity for the whole family, visit the world-famous Prague Zoo. With more than 4,800 animals, including endangered species, Zoo Prague offers an educational and entertaining look at the world’s fauna. A walk through the Indonesian jungle environment, exotic African savannahs and the Elephant Valley Pavilion leave the impression of an unforgettable trip around the world. It is a treat for children and adults alike to observe animals in their natural habitat and learn about conservation. We recommend setting aside a full day for this trip.
